This installation is inspired by the layout and materials that makeup the central courtyard of the Golden Triangle Mall and responds directly to the fact that the stairs on one side are a doubly steeper than the rest of them. Mimicking the shape of those stairs and sitting on top of them, the sculpture creates a place to sit from both the fake grass below and the platform atop. The amalgam of design choices around this area inspired the idea to create something that looks like it could have already been here while the fake grass on the ground inspired the idea of using abstraction similar to field crops when seen from the air.
